veduz logo

Veduz (my new company) needed a logo.
It should be simple recognizable, etc.

My initial choice is just to use
a v inscribed in a circle:

  • It is easy to draw, and remember.
  • It is a unicode symbol
    (like other specials letters)
    meaning that it can be included
    in text, where images are otherwise
    not possible.
  • It has some similarity to the logo
    of my solsort company,
    which is also based on a circle.

The font-based logo is just: Ⓥ
where the angles, lines, etc.
depends on the font.

There should also be an image logo.
If we draw the V, such that the line segments
starts/ends on the circle, it looks like this:

This almost looks like an
uncolored opening flower bud,
so I decide to fill it
with complementary colors
green-magenta (in the RGB-colorspace),
and tune the line width, which yields:

Which is the new image logo for veduz,
which also reflect the purpose
of making projects grow / flower.

The drawing was done,
by writing an svg-image
by hand:

<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"
  width="512" height="512"
  viewBox="-1.1, -1.1, 2.2, 2.2">
<path
  d="M 0 1 a 1 1 0 0 0 0.658 -1.753"
  fill="#090" fill-opacity="0.5"/>
<path
  d="M 0 1 a 1 1 0 0 1 -0.658 -1.753"
  fill="#090" fill-opacity="0.5"/>
<path
  d="M 0.658 -0.753 L 0 1 L -0.658 -0.753 a 1 1 0 0 1 1.316 0"
  fill="#909" fill-opacity="0.5"
  stroke-width="0.07" stroke="black" stroke-linejoin="bevel"/>
<circle
  cx="0" cy="0" r="1"
  stroke="black" stroke-width="0.07" fill-opacity="0"/>
</svg>
